VP of Professional Development:
Increase public awareness of the profession and of the organization.
Oversee the development of publicity for the profession within the community for programs, activities and volunteerism.
Oversee professional design competitions, awards, honors, juried events, etc. for the chapter.
Work in tandem with City Center Director(s) to develop CEU curriculum that is balanced and offers the required continuing education established by IDCEC
Work with City Center Director to set up CEU events
Identify CEU’s that can travel across the State (more than one location)
Identify (and hopefully set up event with) public speakers which bring value and interest to our profession. Ideally this would work with events committee to create an event around said speaker
Work with the board to identify needs for professional development (feedback received from other members, etc.)
Work with communications team to get out the information regarding professional development events
Develop Plans and programs for civic benefit and/ or professional growth and development.
Promote good design and it’s recognition at all given opportunities.
Oversee implementation of NCIDQ support teams with City Centers and maintain records of NCIDQ study materials.
Shall supervise programs to educate the general public on the importance of professional interior Designers.
