VICE PRESIDENT OF PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
Reports To: President and Board Prerequisites:
1. Must have served on the current Board, or as a City Center Director, or as a committee chair at the City Center level.
Job Description: The Vice President of Professional Development shall be responsible for development of member professional education programs, juried professional competitions and related awards events, honors and awards programs of the Chapter, and conferences for the Chapter. These duties shall include recommendation and supervision of appropriate teams to formulate programs and recommend policies relating to those issues. The Vice President of Professional Development shall perform such other duties as from time to time may be assigned by the President or Chapter Board of Directors.

Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the development of publicity for both within the profession and within the community for programs, activities and volunteerism. 2. Increase public awareness of the profession and of the organization.
3. Promote good design and its recognition at all given opportunities.
4. Develop plans and programs for civic benefit and/or professional growth and development.
5. Coordinate delivery of Chapter-wide programs and oversee City Center Program Chairs with their program development and delivery.
6. Survey member’s interest and needs and plan programs in response.
7. Oversee the implementation of the NCIDQ support teams within the City Centers to enhance the elevation of members to professional status.
8. Introduce CEU courses intended to satisfy interests, IIDA membership requirements, and license renewal requirements.
9. Maintain records of locations for the NCIDQ study material.
10. Shall supervise programs to educate the general public on the importance of professional interior designers.
