Asurion’s Gulch Hub Headquarters is a 560,000-square-foot complex that brings together four previously dispersed office locations into a single inward-focused campus in a dense urban environment. The design comprises two interconnected buildings: a nine-story north building and an eight-story south building, connected by a shared landscaped podium and sky bridges on the fifth and seventh floors. A series of terraces enhances connectivity, offering views between the buildings and across multiple levels.

Outside the building, over two acres of improved outdoor terraces and roof decks create opportunities to enjoy Nashville’s weather and bring the outside in through deep shaded overhangs, large operable sections of window wall, green walls and ample plants throughout. Within the building, Asurion was committed to creating world-class amenities to bring people together – like open communicating stairways, a lobby barista open to the public, a full-service food hall serving breakfast and lunch, and a spacious fitness center. 

Recognizing the scale of the building, a neighborhood concept was adopted to enhance accessibility and convenience, ensuring that employees are always close to essential resources. Advanced technology was also integrated to assist in locating rooms, available desks, and coworkers within the building.

In addition to embodying Asurion’s core brand values, the design also embraced several other experience pillars – such as ‘authenticity’, with steel, concrete, and hardwood flooring, wall, and ceiling elements rather than plastic laminates; ‘pride of home’ – in which Nashville is celebrated with touches like wallcovering that combines both iconic Hatch Show Print posters from the past and new designs commissioned by the company just for Gulch Hub; and ‘variety’ – with over 30 paint colors, over 60 upholstery selections, over 40 wallcoverings, over 70 tile selections, and over 30 carpets, the building is activated and enlivened by an almost endless combination of color and pattern.
