Professional Interior Designers set themselves apart by education, experience, testing, and continuing education. The National Council for Interior Design Qualification is the governing body for setting a national testing standard.

Continuing Education
IIDA Members, NCIDQ Certificate Holders and Registered Interior Designers in the State of Tennessee are required to earn annual continuing education units. IIDA Professional and Associate Members are required to take 1.0 CEU equal to 10 hours of continuing education in a two year time period.
